On 26th February 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur conducted an Organ Donation Awareness Session for the NSS students of Madhukarrao Wasnik P.W.S. Arts and Commerce College, Nagpur, with the objective of sensitizing students about organ donation and motivating them to become ambassadors of this life-saving cause.
On behalf of MOHAN Foundation, Ms. Veena Wathore facilitated the awareness session and shared detailed information on organ donation and transplantation, with special emphasis on the concept of brain stem death, its medical certification, and the importance of deceased organ donation. She also addressed common myths and misconceptions related to organ donation.
Following this, Ms. Neha Sailwar shared information about the organ donation pledge, explaining its importance and the procedure involved. She also provided details about the educational and training courses offered by MOHAN Foundation, encouraging students to actively participate in awareness activities. In addition, real-life organ donation and transplant stories were shared through a presentation, which helped students understand the emotional, ethical, and life-saving impact of organ donation and created a strong motivational connection with the subject.
Around 30 NSS students actively participated in the session. The session was interactive, with students actively engaging and showing keen interest throughout the discussion.
