Organ Donation Awareness Session at NSS Camp – B.P. National College of Social Work, Nagpur

  • On 11 February 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur conducted an Organ Donation Awareness Session at the NSS Camp of B.P. National College of Social Work, Nagpur. The objective of the session was to create awareness among students about organ donation and to sensitize them about their role in spreading accurate information within the community.

    On behalf of MOHAN Foundation, Mr. Dhiraj Kurve and Ms. Neha Sailwar facilitated the session. Ms. Neha Sailwar introduced MOHAN Foundation and shared details about the Foundation’s work, objectives, and initiatives in the field of organ and tissue donation across India. She emphasized the importance of organ donation as a life-saving humanitarian act and encouraged students to become advocates for the cause.

    Mr. Dhiraj Kurve explained the concept of brain stem death, covering its medical and legal aspects in a simple and clear manner. He addressed common myths and misconceptions related to organ donation and highlighted the importance of counselling and coordination in the deceased organ donation process.

    Around 50 students participated in the session. The session was interactive, with students actively participating, asking questions, and engaging in meaningful discussions. The awareness program helped strengthen students’ understanding of organ donation and inspired them to promote the message within their communities.
