Ms. Simran initiated the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, along with its mission and vision. She addressed the concept of organ donation and highlighted its significance. This was followed by a structured PowerPoint presentation covering the facts, ethics, and real-world impact of organ donation through real-life cases. • Eligibility to become an organ donor.

    • The status of organ donation in India.

    • Body donation.

Additional questions raised by participants included:

    • Is there any government policy that provides financial support to donor families facing economic constraints?

    • Who prioritizes the recipient of an organ once a donor is identified?

    • Is there any cost to the donor’s family for organ donation?

    • Which organs can be donated?

    • After a successful organ transplant, is there still a chance of death for the patient?

The session concluded with a brief recap, where participants were encouraged to reflect on common social myths and illegal practices related to organ donation. They responded actively and demonstrated a clear improvement in understanding.

The session was attended by 25 participants.
