MOHAN FOUNDATION was invited by the State Bank of India – Life Insurance, Anna Nagar East branch to give an awareness talk for the team leaders about organ donation.
Ms. Veena, Transplant coordinator, gave a talk on the importance of organ donation, sharing and creating awareness amongst our fellow human beings. The participants came up with many questions in terms of registration, live donation, etc., One team leader Mr. Ashok Kumar asked that, whether a person with Diabetes or Hepatitis B or carcinoma can donate his organs. At the end of the session all the seven team leaders pledged for donor card.
Each team leader has around 50 – 60 advisors in his/her team and each advisor is dealing with more than 200 families. All the team leaders have decided to carry the message of organ donation to all the families whom they meet. With this noble thought of sharing information and creating awareness on organ donation they can reach out to more families and improve their knowledge.
SBI life insurance, Anna Nagar branch has decided to place hoardings on Organ Donation at their office and in front of their building, so that people who walk in on a daily basis will have a glance at the message on organ donation. Through this we can reach out to the public.
They are also planning to conduct similar sessions in all their branches in Chennai by which we can meet many members of the public.
