Cognizant Technology Solutions, Thoraipakkam, Chennai has organized an awareness programme on “Organ Donation” on 8th December 2010. The programme held in two sessions, around 60 employees took part in each session. Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation gave the presentation on concept of organ donation, need of donating organs, importance of creating awareness, legal and ethical issues, and myths about organ donation. A short film on organ donation and few other videos were shown to the audience which helped to them to gain more intensive knowledge about organ donation. Transplant coordinators' experiences with organ donor families were shared with audiences which made them to move with this concept. The young group full of inspiration and motivation expressed their support towards this noble cause by pledging for donor cards at the end.
