Awareness on Organ Donation was organized at L & T Integrated Engineering Services, Saidapet on Jan’11. They decided to pass on this noble message to their branches and invited MOHAN Foundation to give a presentation for L & T employees, Nandambakkam branch on 19th Feb’11.
Two sessions were conducted simultaneously by the Transplant Coordinators - Mrs.Sujatha & Ms.Veena. They explained the concept of organ & tissue donation, organ allocation and deceased organ donation statistics of Tamil Nadu.
A flash was played which explained Brain stem death. The functions of brain stem & the common causes of brain stem death were explained. They ended the presentation after screening an emotionally touchong video about organ donation.
50 participants pledged for a donor card and expressed their support in carrying the noble message of organ donation to society.
