  • On September 08, 2023, Ms Pallavi Kumar (Executive Director) was invited to conduct an online session for the employees of Medlern. The initiative to organise the session was taken by Mr Varun Chinche, Director - Hospital Success. MedLern regularly hosts a series of industry experts' session for healthcare professionals on relevant topics to facilitate sharing of best practices and insights and to strengthen connections among the network of professionals. The session was a part of this ongoing endeavour.

MedLern was started in 2020 with the idea of creating and empowering healthcare professions with learning opportunities by leveraging technology. It has made significant progress since then and is a trusted learning partner for more than 310 hospitals & 83,000 healthcare professionals. MedLern is committed to create solutions designed exclusively for hospitals and provide best-in-class learning and training solutions that help healthcare staff continuously improve and deliver better patient outcomes.

Ms Pallavi made a presentation on the various aspects of organ donation, types of donors, the law,

brain death, various myths and misconceptions on organ donation, role of MOHAN Foundation etc.

Since it was a live Microsoft teams meeting, participants could not interact during the session, but

they posted their queries on the chat which were addressed at the end of the talk.

Some of the questions that the participants asked were:

    - Can organ donation happen in unclaimed bodies?

    - How can hospitals that are not transplant centres start a donation program?

    - How are organs allocated

Many were interested in pursuing the online ambassador course of MOHAN Foundation to

become volunteers and contribute back to the cause. An NGO representative in Karnataka reached out to know how her NGO can start work on creating awareness on organ donation.

Close to 100 people attended the webinar.
