Module 2 of Ambassador Training conducted for Batch 46

  • The 46th batch of MOHAN Foundation's Organ Donation Ambassador Program successfully completed Module 2 on June 19, 2026. Fifteen  candidates including students from Delhi Public School, Chandigarh participated in this virtual interactive contact session.

    The workshop was facilitated by Mrs. Arshiya Fathima and Dr. Hemal Kanvinde of MOHAN Foundation. Dr. Hemal Kanvinde opened the training with an overview of the modules and expectation from MOHAN Foundation. Mrs Arshiya interacted with the trainees and a self introduction was conducted. 

     

    Session 1: SPREADING THE WORD – COMMUNICATION TOOLS

    Dr. Hemal Kanvinde guided students through the range of communication tools volunteers commonly used to spread awareness — covering the when, why, and how of each mode, from individual social media outputs, information desks, awareness talks to large collaborative events such as marathons and rallies.

    Session 2: VOICES FROM THE FIELD – EXPERT PANEL

    Mr Sanchit Arora, Transplant coordinator, AIIMS Rishikesh

    Dr. Honey Patle, Kidney Recipient, Nagpur

    Mr. Lakshay Kumar, Kidney Recipient, Dehradun

    Mr. Lakshay Kumar and Dr Honey  shared personal stories of swap and deceased donor  transplants. They touched upon their lives before, the wait, the frequent dialysis and toll on their mental wellbeing. This made a deep impression on the young ambassadors. Sanchit and Kavitha narrated case studies of donations. The trainees discussed  how to reward/ recognize the donor families.

    Counseling for eye and organ donation, Demystifying organ donation, Grief counseling, Donor family care and support post donation ,Health as  wealth

    Session 3: GRATITUDE WORKSHOP

    Dr. Hemal Kanvinde led a moving gratitude exercise in which trainees wrote heartfelt thank-you letters to anonymous donors, reflecting on the gift of life from a recipient's perspective.

    Session 4: LOOKING AHEAD

    The session closed with  a poll on the  posters created by mOHAN Foundation and planning for Module 3 - their social activity to promote Organ Donation. 

    MOHAN Foundation thanks the faculty for their time and the trainees for taking up the cause.
