MOHAN Foundation participated at Apurva Vigyan Mela the Scientific Models Expo

  • MOHAN Foundation Nagpur was invited at ‘Apurva Vigyan Mela’, the Science Exhibition Organized by Nagpur Municipal Corporation & ‘Association for Research & Training in Basic Science Education’ (ARTBSE)on 1stto 4thDecember,2023 at Rashtrabhasha Bhavan, Ambazari road in Nagpur.  This was 26th year of exhibition where 100 science experiments were showcased by NMC school children. Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways & Minister of Micro, Small & Medium enterprises was Guest of honor.

    Mr.Bulu Behera, MOHAN Foundation Transplant Coordinator, explained the Organ Models made by Human Ashes, ‘Not to waste the vital Organs into ashes.  Donate your Organs & save someone’s life.    

    Nagpur District NMC school students with their teachers visited this science Expo. On this Four days’ expo, Total about 450 students & teachers visited & 12 of them pledged to donate their organs.

     Mr. Bulu Behera gave the detail information about Organ donation, its law, & MOHAN Foundation.

    The following Questions were asked by visitors

    1) After anyone’s death how MOHAN Foundation will get to know?

    2) Is Organ Transplant covered by insurance?

    3) How much portion of Liver can be donated in Living Donation?

    4) What’s the process of Whole body donation?

    5) If anyone expired at home is there any possibility for organ/ Tissue donation?

    6) What is the difference between coma and brain death?

    All queries were answered  by Bulu Behera and he thanked Mr.Suresh Agrawal, the Organizer for giving opportunity to exhibit the Organ Models.
