MOHAN Foundation was invited by the members of Zonal Railway Training Institute to conduct an awareness session on organ donation on May 16, 2015 for their new batch of trainees consisting of station masters, signal personnel, and other railway employees.
There were about 300 members that have actively participated in the event and all the members were distributed donor cards and family donor cards, information brochures and activity reports of MOHAN Foundation.
Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, benefits of transplantation, T.H.O 1994 Act, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.
We thank the management of Zonal Railway Training Institute for helping us in organizing this event to promote organ donation and also thank all the participants for their active participation.
