MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Mallaiah to conduct an awareness session on organ donation at Railway Workshop on June 15, 2015.
There were more than 150 people that attended the organ donation awareness event and were distributed donor cards, family donor cards and information brochures.
Dr. Koti Reddy spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation, and the role of medical professionals in organ donation and distributed the donor cards, family donor cards and information brochures. Dr. Bhanu Prakash explained the importance of donor card and the importance of discussing it with family members about organ donation.
We thank Mr. Mallaiah and the organizers for helping us in making this event a success to promote organ donation. We also thank all the participants for their active participation.
