MOHAN Foundation Hosts an Open House at Chennai Office

  • Chennai, Sat, September 20, 2025 – MOHAN Foundation organized an Open House at its Chennai premises, bringing together well-wishers to learn more about the Foundation’s activities and to interact with its team. Eight participants attended the special 1.5-hour session.

    The program included three key talks:

    1.  Kidney Health – Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, TANKER Foundation

    2.  Journey of MOHAN Foundation – Mrs. Sujatha Sooriyamoorthi, MOHAN Foundation

    3.  Health and Wellness Portal for Life Members – Dr. Sunil Shroff, MOHAN Foundation

    Dr. Hemal Kanvinde welcomed the gathering, initiated a round of self-introductions, and explained the work of the foundation and gave an introduction to the website. 

    Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi shared insights into kidney functions, common diseases, and treatment options. She emphasized on early detection for preserving and maintenance of kidney function.  She also requested the audience to arrange information talks for the community.

    Mrs Sujatha gave an overview of the MOHAN Foundation from its humble beginnings to the spreading out in India and abroad. She spoke of special projects like the Training, Helpline and Anudaan. The talk was very much appreciated by the audience.

    Dr. Sunil Shroff introduced a special benefit for Life Members – a free Health and Wellness Portal. The portal allows members to monitor their health and fitness, access educational videos, maintain an electronic medical record, and consult reputed doctors.

    The session concluded with an open discussion, where participants offered valuable suggestions. These included exploring the idea that organ pledgers could be prioritized for transplants, and engaging health insurance companies to promote organ donation through staff and client education.

    The event ended on a high note with a group photograph, capturing the spirit of collaboration and commitment.
