MOHAN Foundation Conducted an Awareness Talk at State Level Junior Red Cross Training Camp, Kurukshetra

  • On 24th December 2021, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society - Haryana State Branch, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk at State Level Junior Red Cross Training Camp for girls held at Punjabi Dhramshala, Kurukshetra.

    In this camp, students were being provided an opportunity of community living and knowledge of Red Cross, General Health Awareness and First Aid Training, Role of Volunteers in Social Welfare activities. Around 300 girls from all over the Haryana and 36 counsellors from Haryana and Faculty Members of Red Cross – Haryana participated in the session.

    Participants were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Ms. Neha Sharma Katoch.

    All aspects like what is organ donation, necessity and importance of organ donation, concept of brain death and myths related to organ donation, how to pledge for organ donation were addressed.

    Participants were very enthusiastic and asked many queries related to the transplantation process. Participants were highly satisfied and motivated by the talk and the work that the Foundation was doing for the noble cause of organ donation.
