On the occasion of “Joy of Giving” Shell Business Service Centre, Chennai organized Blood Donation and Organ Donation Camp at their premises on 14-15th February 2013. MOHAN Foundation was invited by the CSR team of Shell Business Center, Chennai to put up a stall and also to do awareness session for their staff. Ms. Kavitha, Transplant Coordinator interacted with the staff and explained the following topics:
The participants were moved by the Donor stories. At the end of the session few queries were raised like:
1. How are the organs shared?
2. What is the survival rate of the donor in live donation?
3. How many successful deceased organ donations have you counseled?
4. Does MOHAN Foundation charge for the organs?
5. Will you keep in touch with the family members post donation?
The queries were answered and around 120 showed their support for the cause by picking up Donor cards.
