IInterchange System Pvt. Ltd, Anna Nagar invited MOHAN Foundation to give an awareness talk on Organ Donation on 23.02.2013. This initiative was taken by the Apollo team of IInterchange.
About 50 employees attended the session. Ms. Kavitha, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation focused on the following topics:
1. Concepts of Organ Donation
2. Difference between Brain Death and Coma
3. Organs that can be donated after Natural Death and after Brain death
4. Importance of Donor card
5. Offenses and Penalty in live donation
6. Eye Donation
7. Information on Helpline
The employees were moved by the real life stories of donors shared at the end of the session. Around 40 people supported organ donation by picking up Donor Cards.
