Garba Night at Oberoi International School Ц Promoting Organ Donation Awareness Day 1

Updated on Friday, October 3, 2025
  • On September 30, 2025, the vibrant Garba Night celebration at Oberoi International School became more than just a cultural event—it turned into a platform for life-changing awareness. As part of the initiative to promote organ donation, Ms. Sakshi from MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness talk during the festivities. The talk was designed to educate and inspire the younger generation about the importance of organ donation and its impact on saving lives.

Ms. Sakshi engaged the students with an age-appropriate, informative session that simplified the concept of organ donation for the young audience. Her interactive and sensitive approach helped demystify the topic for around 200 primary school students who attended the session on Day 1. Alongside the talk, an awareness desk was set up and remained active throughout the event, offering resources, donor cards, and one-on-one conversations for parents, staff, and visitors who wished to know more or pledge their support.

The combination of cultural celebration and social awareness created a meaningful atmosphere, encouraging not just enjoyment but thoughtful reflection. Day 1 of the Garba Night successfully planted the seeds of empathy and awareness in the young minds and their families, laying the foundation for a more informed and compassionate community.
