  Students pledging Donor Card

  Social work students from St.Joseph’s college of arts & science, Kovur, Chennai visited MOHAN foundation to gain knowledge about the social cause “Organ Donation”.

   

  The Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation made a presentation on;

  • The concepts of organ donation
  • Transplantation of Human Organs Act, 1995
  • When can a person donate his/her organs
  • Organ donation procedures
  • Organ allocation
  • Donor card
  • Role of a transplant coordinator

   

  Videos promoting organ donation was screened. Later students discussed about the religious view on organ donation and myths related to it. At the end of the session the students & the faculty pledged for a donor card.
