An awareness session on eye donation was conducted on June 19, 2025 at Nesam Old Age Home, Tiruvannamalai. The event was attended by around 35 participants including residents and staff members of the home.
The session was led by Ms. Sangeetha K. Project Executive, who provided detailed information on the importance of eye donation. She explained about the causes of corneal blindness and the value of a eye donation. She spoke about misconceptions related to eye donation and explained the facts.
Additionally, Ms. Sangeetha, discussed the necessary precautions and steps to ensure a safe and healthy donation. The session was interactive, with participants showing keen interest. The session ended with participants sharing their feedback and thoughts on eye donation.
