Eye Donation Awareness Stall Conducted at St. John College of Humanities and Sciences, Palghar

  • An eye donation awareness stall was conducted on January 30, 2026, at St. John College of Humanities and Sciences, Palghar, with the objective of educating students and staff members about the importance of eye donation and encouraging them to support this noble cause.

     

    The stall was led by Ms. Prachiti, who provided detailed information on the concept and significance of eye donation, including the process involved, eligibility criteria, and the necessary steps to be followed at the time of donation. She also addressed common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation, offering clear and factual explanations to enhance understanding among the visitors.

     

    Approximately 100 individuals, including students and staff members, visited the stall and actively engaged in discussions. As an outcome, 11 participants came forward to pledge for eye donation. The stall proved to be informative and impactful, successfully raising awareness and motivating individuals to contribute to this meaningful cause.

     

    Mr. Nikhil from MOHAN Foundation and Mr. Aniket from Kotak Life also visited the stall during the program. They interacted with the college officials and extended an invitation to participate in the upcoming Walkathon, further strengthening collaboration for promoting awareness about organ and eye donation.
