Eye Donation Awareness Session at Rural Hospital Virar, Palghar

  • On April 22, 2026, an eye donation awareness session was successfully conducted at Rural Hospital Virar, Palghar. The session was attended by approximately 45 participants, including hospital visitors and members of the local community.

    The session was conducted by Mr. Ravi Pawar from MOHAN Foundation with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of eye donation and how it can help restore vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness. Participants were provided with detailed information about the eye donation process, eligibility criteria, and the critical time frame within which eyes can be donated after death.

    During the session, common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation were addressed to improve understanding among the participants. The attendees actively participated in the discussion and showed interest in learning how a single donor can help transform the lives of visually impaired individuals.

    As a positive outcome of the session, one individual pledged to donate their eyes.
