On 29 April 2026, an eye donation awareness session was successfully conducted at Primary Health Centre Saphale, with the participation of approximately 40 attendees. The session aimed to spread awareness about the importance of eye donation and to encourage community members to understand the life-changing impact of donating eyes after death.
The session was conducted by Mr. Ravi Pawar from the MOHAN Foundation, who provided detailed information about the process of eye donation and its significance in restoring vision to individuals suffering from corneal blindness. Common myths and misconceptions surrounding eye donation were also addressed to help participants gain a clear understanding of the subject.
Participants showed keen interest throughout the session and actively engaged by asking questions related to eligibility, registration, and the procedure of eye donation. The program helped strengthen awareness within the community and encouraged attendees to consider eye donation as a noble humanitarian act that can transform lives.
The MOHAN Foundation expresses sincere gratitude to Primary Health Centre Saphale for their valuable support and cooperation in successfully organizing this awareness session. The program further strengthened community understanding of eye donation and inspired participants to consider pledging their eyes to give the precious gift of sight to others.
