Eye Donation Awareness Session Conducted at Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Trust Hospital, Palghar

  • On April 28, 2026, an eye donation awareness session was conducted at Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Trust Hospital, Palghar, with the participation of approximately 45 attendees. The session aimed to create awareness about the importance of eye donation and its role in restoring vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness.

     

    The session was facilitated by Mr. Ravi Pawar from MOHAN Foundation, who provided detailed information on the concept of eye donation, the donation process, donor eligibility, and the importance of timely eye retrieval after death for successful transplantation. Participants were informed about how eye donation can help transform the lives of visually impaired individuals by giving them the gift of sight.

     

    Common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation were also discussed and clarified with factual explanations to improve understanding and encourage positive attitudes toward donation.
