Awareness Session on Eye Donation Conducted at Ozar, Jawhar, Palghar

  • On April 2, 2026, Ms. Karina Kadu from MOHAN Foundation conducted an eye donation awareness session at Ozar village specifically for women. The session aimed to educate participants about the significance of eye donation and raise awareness on how it can positively impact lives by restoring vision.

     

    During the session, Ms. Kadu effectively explained the concept of eye donation in a clear and engaging manner. She covered topics such as corneal blindness, its causes, necessary precautions, age requirements for donation, legal aspects, and dispelled common myths surrounding eye donation. This information equipped participants with accurate knowledge and understanding on the subject.

     

    A total of 27 women attended the session and actively engaged in discussions. Two individuals pledged to donate their eyes, demonstrating a tangible impact of the awareness session. The participants showed great interest by asking pertinent questions regarding donation eligibility, posthumous procedures, and the timeline for eye donation. Their enthusiasm and curiosity indicated a growing awareness and sensitivity towards this noble cause.
