Eye Donation Awareness Session Conducted at Rural Hospital, Palghar

  • On April 15, 2026, an eye donation awareness session was successfully conducted at Rural Hospital Palghar. The session was attended by approximately 40 participants, including patients, caregivers, and members of the local community.

    The session was conducted by Mr. Ravi Pawar from MOHAN Foundation with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of eye donation and its role in restoring vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness. Participants were informed about the eye donation process, eligibility criteria, and the importance of donating eyes within the required time after death.

    During the session, common myths and misconceptions regarding eye donation were addressed to help participants better understand the subject. The interactive discussion encouraged attendees to ask questions and gain clarity about how eye donation can give the gift of sight to those in need.
