Eye Donation Awareness Session Conducted at Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Trust, Palghar

  • On 14 April 2026, an eye donation awareness session was successfully conducted at Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Trust, Palghar. The session was attended by approximately 50 participants, including hospital visitors and members of the local community.

    The session was conducted by Mr. Ravi Pawar from MOHAN Foundation. The main objective of the session was to create awareness about the importance of eye donation and how it can help restore vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness. Participants were provided with detailed information about the eye donation process, eligibility criteria, and the critical time frame within which eyes can be donated after death.

    During the session, common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation were addressed to encourage a better understanding of the subject. The participants actively engaged in the discussion and showed interest in learning how a single eye donor can help improve the lives of visually impaired individuals.
