Deceased Organ Donation Awareness Talk at Sugandha Sabhagruha, Nagpur

  • On 7th April 2014 Dr. Ravi Wankhede (Director of MOHAN Foundation Nagpur Centre), Miss. Kanchan Shewde & Mr. Bulu Behera Transplant co-ordinator from  MOHAN Foundation were  invited by Dr. Dande at Sugabdha Sabhagruha on the occasion World Health Day for the members of  Maharashtra Senior Citizen Nagpur, to give a talk on deceased organ donation.

     

    Dr. Ravi Wankhede   gave a talk which are highlighted organ can be donated after Brain death, natural death and Live donation,  after brain death it is impossible to come back his life & if the brain death patient’s family wants to donate their organs then they can help several people.  

     

    Dr. Ravi Wankhede gave  information about MOHAN Foundation activities & requested  them to use MOHAN Foundation website as well as helpline number for more information.

     

    Question raised by Senior Citizens

    Why in India Organ Donation is not compulsory?

    Is it possible to transplant animals organ to human being?

    Is it possible to do eye transplant  in live donation?
