The Advocate Association of the Madras Central Rajni Fan Club (Rajni Makkal Mandram) celebrated the 70th birthday of their idol with the theme of Organ Donation. The function was celebrated on 16th February 2020 at the auditorium of Madras Medical Mission (MMM) Hospital. Mr. Rajnikant has been an ambassador for eye donation and this fan club wished to promote organ donation this year. MOHAN Foundation was their knowledge partner. More than 300 fans and their family members attended the function.
The function began with motivational speeches from various functionaries, followed by short talk on value of organ donation by Dr. Ejaz Ahmed Sheriff, Cardiac Surgeon of MMM Hospital. This was followed by a talk on the Law of Organ Donation and Transplantation by Dr. Hemal Kanvinde of MOHAN Foundation. Around 50 people registered as organ donors. The club honoured senior members who have taken pledges of eye donation along with Mr. Rajnikant.
