Awareness talk on Organ Donation for the NSS students of Dayanand Ariya Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur

  Mr. Bulu Behera is being felicitated

  On 30^th March 2022, Mr.Bulu Behera was invited by Dr. Tanuja Rajput, in charge officer of National Service Scheme (NSS) to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for Dayanand Ariya  Kanya Mahavidyalaya students at Ahalya Mandir, Jaripatka, Nagpur.

  Dr. Tanuja Rajput welcomed Mr. Bulu Behera and invited him to the dais to present his presentation on organ donation. Mr. Bulu thanked Dr. Tanuja  and introduced himself to the audience and started his presentation by talking about MOHAN foundation and its activities.

  He then discussed the following contents:

  1. Concept of Organ Donation, Types of donors
  2. The status of organ donation in India and their requirement V/S donation rates.
  3. Myths and facts of organ donation was explained in detail
  4. Concept of Brain death and Circularly death
  5. Age is not constraint in donating organs.
  6. Importance of donor cards and helpline number was shared.
  7. How to pledge organ through MOHAN Foundation website.
  8.  Importance of Organ transplant Act 1994
  9. Importance of NOTTO, ROTTO-SOTTO and ZTCC was shared with the audience.

   

  Around 60 participants participated in this program. They express their heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Bulu Behera for his work on creating awareness about organ donation and thanked him for presenting a valuable talk on organ donation. This session inspired 10 of them to pledge their organs through pledge forms.

   

  We thank Dr. Tanuja Rajput for supporting the cause of organ donation and for inviting us to create awareness about organ donation to NSS students of Dayanand Ariya Kanya Mahavidlaya.
