  On 29^th March 2022 Mr. Bulu Behera was invited by Dr. Yashodeep Kedar, in charge officer of National Service Scheme (NSS) to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for G.S .College students at Manav Mandir, Erala,Nagpur.

  Dr. Yashodeep Kedar welcomed Mr.  Bulu Behera and invited him to the dais to present his presentation on organ donation. Mr.Bulu thanked Dr. Yashodeep and introduced himself to the audience and started his presentation by talking about MOHAN foundation and its activities.

  He then discussed the following contents:

  1. Concept of Organ Donation, Types of donors
  2. The status of organ donation in India and their requirement V/S donation rates.
  3. Myths and facts of organ donation was explained in details
  4. Concept of Brain death and circularly death
  5. Age is not constraint in donating organs.
  6. Importance of donor cards and helpline number was shared.
  7. How to pledge organ through MOHAN Foundation website was explained
  8.  Importance of Organ transplant Act 1994
  9. Importance of NOTTO,ROTTO-SOTTO,ZTCC in organ donation was discussed.

   

  Around 50 participants participated in this program. They express their heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Bulu Behera for his work on creating awareness about organ donation and thanked him for presenting a valuable talk on organ donation. This session inspired 20 of them to pledge their organs through pledge forms.

   

  We thank Dr. Yashodeep Kedar for supporting the cause of organ donation and inviting us to create awareness about organ donation to NSS students of G.S.College.
