Awareness session on organ donation at Courtyard by Marriott, Gurgaon

  • On January 30, 2015, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation for the employees and staff of Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Gurgaon.

     

    The Courtyard Gurgaon has been a leading hospitality chain in India providing perfect location for business or leisure trip for a huge clientele over the years. Being one of the top Gurgaon hotels located near India's capital, New Delhi, and Indira Gandhi International Airport, The Courtyard, Gurgaon hotel affords travellers professional service, well-appointed amenities, and the most convenient location available. It has been an ideal luxury place for many due to its proximity to nearby iconic attractions, including the Taj Mahal in Agra and Jaipur, the Pink City, hence regarded as one of the top hotels in Gurgaon.

     

    Rotarian Praveen Kandru took the initiative of arranging the session at Marriott and Ms. Anjali Singh (Training Executive, HR, Marriott) coordinated the process. The session was incorporated as part of hotel’s,” spirit to serve activity,” and one such activity is undertaken every month. The session was attended by staff and employees from different departments such as the finance, front office, service, human resource, kitchen and also security. Dr. Muneet in her presentation, explained the concepts of organ donation and transplantation primarily focusing on the types of donations, how to diagnose brain death, tissue donation, the Transplant Law of India and statistics on the said subject. Post the session she answered few queries from the participants.

     

    27 participants attended the session.
