MOHAN Foundation and Vikasa Tarangini Youth organized a public awareness walk on Organ donation on Sunday, 29th December’2013 at People’s plaza, Necklace road, Hyderabad.
Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji , Managing Director of My Homes Pvt. Ltd., Sri. Jupally Rameshwar Rao and Dr Ravindranath, Chairman & Managing Director, Global Hospitals, were present at the Walk.
His Holiness Chinna jeeyar swamyji addressed the youth to act as responsible citizens in the society and also spoke about the importance along with myths about Organ Donation.
He released "Gift of life initiative number" - 9902080011 for mobile sms registrations.
Dr.Ravindranath said only 0.08 per million organ donations were happening in India and the number of Organ donations should see a quantum increase.
Sri Sri Sri. Devanatha Jeeyar Swamiji read out a pledge in Telugu which received a huge applause from the audience. The pledge is attached for the Telugu readers.
Around 8000 youth and general public from different colleges and organizations are participated in the rally.
