On June 23, 2026, an organ donation awareness programme was conducted at Pallapilli Techno Rubber Factory, Bodhjungnagar, West Tripura. The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Josy Joseph, General Manager of the factory, who welcomed the MOHAN Foundation team and appreciated their efforts in promoting awareness on organ donation. The session was conducted in three separate batches to ensure the participation of a larger number of employees.
The programme was conducted by Mr. Vincent Debbarma, Project Lead, MOHAN Foundation, Tripura, and Mr. Biswajit Debbarma, Program Executive, MOHAN Foundation, Tripura.
Mr. Vincent delivered the awareness talk, explaining the concept and importance of organ donation, the different types of donors, and the organs and tissues that can be donated. He also shared information about the recent living donor kidney transplantations performed at AGMC and GBP Hospital. Common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation were addressed, and participants' queries were answered during the interactive session.
The participants engaged actively, showing strong interest in organ donation and transplantation. The session’s interactive nature helped clarify doubts and enhanced their understanding of the subject.
Mr. Biswajit distributed organ donation awareness leaflets to all the participants.
Approximately 67 employees attended the programme and expressed enthusiasm and interest in supporting the cause of organ donation.
