On April 22, 2026, MOHAN Foundation organized an awareness program on organ donation at Agartala Government Medical College & Govinda Ballabh Pant (AGMC & GBP) Hospital, Kunjaban, Agartala, West Tripura. The session was conducted at the Orthopaedics Outpatient Department (OPD) as part of its continuous efforts to promote awareness of organ donation and transplantation among the people.
The session commenced with Ms. Nipa introducing the MOHAN Foundation. She subsequently provided a comprehensive overview of organ and tissue donation and transplantation, delineating the various organs and tissues that can be donated while clearly distinguishing between living and deceased donation. She also highlighted the current status of organ and tissue donation in Tripura.
The participants commended the MOHAN Foundation's initiatives and voiced their commitment to sustaining organ donation discussions in their respective communities.
Informational leaflets on organ donation were distributed to participants to enhance their understanding of the concept. The program was attended by approximately 26 people.
