On April 16, 2026, MOHAN Foundation organized an awareness program on organ donation at Agartala Government Medical College & Govind Ballabh Pant (AGMC & GBP) Hospital, Kunjaban, Agartala, West Tripura. The session was held at the Eye Outpatient Department (OPD) as part of the foundation's ongoing efforts to promote awareness of organ donation and transplantation among the general public.
Ms. Nipa Modak, Program Executive for Tripura, represented MOHAN Foundation and led the session. She highlighted the significance of organ donation, the various types of organ and tissue donations, and the profound impact a single donor can have in saving multiple lives. The session also addressed and dispelled common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation, encouraging participants to become ambassadors for this noble cause.
The program concluded with a strong call to action, urging attendees to raise awareness and inspire others to pledge for organ donation, thereby cultivating a culture of giving and life-saving generosity.
