On June 12, 2022, All India People Rights Organization (AIPRO) organized an awareness program on Organ Donation to commemorate World Day Against Child Labour (June 12th). It was meant for the public and was held at the at Panchayat Union Primary School, Ekkatuthangal, Chennai. Around 46 people attended the session.
Mr. Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation briefed the audience on the concept of Organ Donation, myths on organ donation and the effective usage of the Helpline number 1800 103 7100. The interns Ms. Divya Shanthi and Ms. Sweetlyn Vashnee Geils, distributed the green ribbons, information pamphlets and stickers for two wheelers.
Mr. Karunanidhi Marimuthu (former Superintendent of Police), Mr. Richard (District Magistrate), Mr. Mohan Kumar (Member of Council, Madipakkam), participated as the chief guests and made the event a memorable one. The event was organized by Mr Sasikumar J, Chairman, AIPRO (previously registered as Organ Donor) supported the participants in taking pledge as a donor. 9 members pledged as Organ Donors.
