On September 27, 2022, MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for the staff and interns at ICCW-TN, Chennai. There were 9 adults and 20 children at the session. Ms. Arshiya Fathima (Helpline Counsellor ) and Mr. Ganesh (Marketing Executive) were deputed for the session. The session was coordinated by Mr. Jerome (Intern from MMM College of Health Sciences)
Mr. Ganesh began with an introduction of MOHAN Foundation and its activities. Ms. Arshiya Fathima gave a presentation about Concepts of Organ Donation. She explained it in a precise manner about who can donation and what can be donated. She also spoke of how a patient can register in the government witlist for a transplant and about myths on donation.
After the talk Mr. Ganesh played a few video clips of Hollywood movies and related them to organ donation. The children welcomed this and were interested about the topic.
Mr. Jerome delivered the Vote of Thanks and presented a book on the work of Transplant Coordinators to the ICCW. Mrs. Vimy Roney (Child Protection Officer) thanked MOHAN Foundation for giving such precious information to save lives.
