MOHAN Foundation was invited by Rotary President, Mr. Rakesh Rahal to conduct awareness talk on Organ Donation on 2nd October at Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh.
Rotarians of two clubs and other local NGO'S participated in the program. Over 120 participants attended the program.
Mr. Sudhir Dewan addressed the audience telling them how important is Organ Donation and it provides a great opportunity in everyone’s life to come ahead and pledge to donate their organs can save lives.
Participants were given the presentation on Organ Donation, Brain Death and when is organ transplanted needed by Sudhir Dewan. He also explained about the living donations and deceased donation and which organs can be donated after death.
Mr. Sudhir Dewan shared his own story of how his liver failed and what had motivated him to further the cause of Organ donation.
Audiences were pleased and appreciated MOHAN Foundation work on Organ Donation in India and they have increased donation in the Chandigarh tricity.
The entire audience got motivated and convinced to support Organ Donation. It was a very interactive session and all members pledged to donate Organs. Audience did applaud in the end for the efforts taken by MOHAN Foundation and also raise hands to pledge organ. It was a great program and the audience would come forward to engage by motivating others.
