

On 20th October, 2014 MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh conducted an awareness session for the school students of Government Model Senior Secondary School Sector-19, Chandigarh under the “Student Awareness Campaign” which started on, to cover all the students of government schools in Chandigarh. The Principal and Ms.Anupam of the School helped us a lot in arraigning the session and she supports the cause of organ donation.
Around 200 students participated in the program and they were from higher classes and were given a presentation on the phenomenon of Brain Death and the process of organ donation by the Program Coordinator Nilakshi. The myths and misconception associated with organ donation were also discussed and got cleared. Among the participant there was a student who needed Pancreas and said he want to join the cause and be a donor himself.
Around 30 donor cards were taken by the students as they liked the cause and want to ask their parents and friends to pledge their organs.
