Honorary Flt. Lt. S. T. Mariappan, fought in the Indo-China and Indo-Pakistan wars for his country and after death on 12th May 2015, his family fulfilled his wish for whole body donation. On 14th June 2015 his daughter Dr. Manju Gnanasekaran, organized her father’s Memorial Ceremony at J.S. Grand Place Medavakkam, Chennai. MOHAN Foundation was invited to speak about Organ Donation and to set an information stall during
Ms. Sunitha and Ms.Gieetha Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation were deputed to address the gathering. In addition, two volunteers from Scientific Publishing Services managed the stall. There were totally 500 people who came to pay homage and attend the program. Information brochures were given to the audience.
150 members visited the stall and 67 signed as an organ donors.
