Awareness Stall in association with Rotaract Club at Bal Udyan Seminary Hills, Nagpur

  • On 30th December 2021, MOHAN Foundation, in association with the Rotaract Club of Jhulelal Institute of Technology, Nagpur put up a stall for organ donation awareness at Bal Udyan Seminary Hills in Nagpur.

    Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation managed the stall that had donor cards, banner, standee, and information brochures. Information regarding the following was given to the visitors:

    • What is organ donation?
    • Who can donate organs?
    • Whom to contact for organ donation?
    • Brain death and natural death
    • What is bone marrow and who requires bone marrow transplant?
    • What can be donated by a living person and whom can they donate to?
    • Organs/tissues that can be donated after natural and brain death
    • Hand transplant
    • Carrying donor card
    • Using the helpline number
    • Transplant law
    • MOHAN Foundation’s activities
    • Role of NOTTO, ROTTO, SOTTO, ZTCC in organ donation

    Questions asked by visitors:

    • What is Brain death?
    • Whom to contact for organ donation after brain death?
    • Who is the head of MOHAN Foundation?

    Around 50 people visited the stall and 10 of them signed consent form for organ donation.
