On March 30, 2026, an awareness session on organ donation and eye donation was conducted for the staff at Patangshaha Kutir Hospital, Jawhar. The session aimed to enhance awareness among healthcare staff regarding the importance of organ and eye donation and to encourage them to actively support and promote this noble cause.
The session on organ donation was conducted by Nikhil Sir, who provided comprehensive and well-structured information on the subject. He explained the concept of organ donation, its significance in saving lives, and addressed common myths and misconceptions associated with it. The session was interactive, and the staff members actively participated, showing keen interest in understanding the procedures and benefits of organ donation.
The program was attended by Karina Kadu, Ravi Pawar, and Aniket Sir from Kotak Life Insurance, whose presence added value to the session. Their support helped in creating a motivating and informative environment for the participants.
Towards the conclusion of the session, Aniket Sir addressed the staff and shared insightful guidance. He appreciated the initiative and encouraged the participants to spread awareness about organ and eye donation within the community. He also provided positive and encouraging feedback about the session.
A total of 25 staff members attended the session. As an outcome of the awareness program, 4 participants came forward and pledged for eye donation, reflecting the impact and effectiveness of the session
