On April 16, 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Ranchi, conducted an organ donation awareness session at Panacea Hospital. The session was led by Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh, who explained key concepts, addressed common myths, and clarified doubts related to eye donation. IEC materials provided by SOTTO were also used during the session to enhance understanding. The discussion helped participants understand how donation can give the gift of sight and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
During the session, participants also raised questions such as “What is the law related to organ donation in India?”, which were addressed by explaining the provisions of the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act (THOTA), 1994 and its amendment in 2011. The programme was informative and impactful, helping to create awareness and encourage positive discussion on organ and tissue donation. A total of 25 people attended the session.
