On March 28, 2026, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh from MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness stall at Orchid Hospital, Lalpur, Ranchi, on the invitation of the hospital. The awareness stall was organized for patient attenders and visitors with the objective of creating greater understanding about the importance of organ donation.
During the session, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh explained the significance of organ and tissue donation and discussed important concepts such as brain death and cardiac death. He also informed the participants about the organs and tissues that can be donated after death and explained the legal aspects of organ donation in India. Common myths and misconceptions related to donation were also addressed, helping participants gain a clearer and more practical understanding of the subject.
A total of 25 patient attenders and visitors visited the stall and actively interacted during the awareness session. The participants showed keen interest and asked several important questions related to organ donation, including which organs can be donated after death, what the process of organ donation is, and whether there is any age limit for organ donation. All these queries were answered clearly and appropriately during the session.
The awareness stall helped increase knowledge and understanding about organ donation among the participants and encouraged them to support this noble and life-saving cause.
