Awareness Session on Organ Donation Conducted at Hanuman Mandir, Ranchi

  • On March 27, 2026, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh from MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness stall at Hanuman Mandir, Bariyatu, Ranchi, on the invitation of the temple authorities. The stall was attended by patient attenders and members of the general public.

    During the session, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh explained the concepts of organ and tissue donation, brain death, and cardiac death in a simple and informative manner. He also spoke about the organs and tissues that can be donated, while addressing the legal aspects of organ donation and clearing common myths and misconceptions related to the subject.

    The awareness stall saw active participation, with around 40 patient attenders and members of the public visiting the stall and engaging in the discussion. Participants raised several questions, including how many lives one organ donor can save, along with other general doubts about organ donation. The session proved to be meaningful and interactive, helping to spread awareness and motivate people to support the cause of organ donation.
