On August 29, 2025, MOHAN Foundation organised an awareness program on organ donation at Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) & Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) Hospital. The session was conducted for the head nurses of various departments of the hospital.
Mr. Vincent Debbarma (Project Lead, Tripura) and Ms. Nipa Modak (Program Executive, Tripura) represented MOHAN Foundation.
The program began at 12:30 PM in Lecture Hall No. 1 of the AGMC building. Mr. Vincent delivered a talk on organ donation, introducing MOHAN Foundation and its mission. He explained the concept and significance of organ donation, types of donors, and the organs and tissues that can be donated. He also spoke about brain death, coma, and corneal donation, while highlighting key provisions of the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act, 1994. Informational leaflets on organ donation were also distributed to participants.
A total of 23 head nurses attended the session.
