On April 09, 2026, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness program on organ donation at Agartala Government Medical College & Govinda Ballabh Pant (AGMC & GBP) Hospital, Kunjaban, Agartala, West Tripura. The session was held at the Eye Outpatient Department (OPD) as part of the foundation's ongoing efforts to promote awareness on organ donation and transplantation among the general public.
Ms. Nipa Modak, Program Executive for Tripura, represented MOHAN Foundation and led the session.
The program began with an introduction to the MOHAN Foundation, including the distribution of leaflets on organ donation. Ms. Modak covered the significance of organ donation, types of donors (living and deceased), and the potential of one donor to save multiple lives through organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas, Intestine and lungs.
Approximately 15 participants attended the session, allowing for focused interaction within
the Eye OPD at AGMC & GBP Hospital.
