MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Ashok Kumar Ghose, Programme Officer of Khapri LPG Botting Plant at Khapri, Nagpur, for giving talk about Deceased Organ Donation. The session took place at their office on 15 July 2014.
Mr. Bulu Behera Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation conducted that talk. He explained the concepts of Organ Donation, Brain Death and Transplantation. He highlighted which organs and tissues can be donated after brain death, natural death, live donation. He explained that after brain death it is impossible to come back to life & if the brain death patient’s family wants to donate organs, then they can help several people.
After talk he gave information about MOHAN Foundation activities as well as helpline number. Thereafter he requested to all use MOHAN Foundation website and the toll free number to clarify any doubts. 22 employees of Khapri LPG Bottling plant participated in the program, and 2 of them signed the pledge.
