  Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Office, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers in his training hall on 17th October 2017. This was for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license.

  Mr. Bulu Behera, transplant coordinator, MOHAN Foundation delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained the following points :-

  v  What is Organ Donation and the Law

  v  Who can donate organ

  v  Type of organ donation

  v  Brain Death, Natural Death and Coma

  v  Myths related to Organ donation

  v  Deceased donation case in Nagpur

  v  Kidney transplant hospital in Nagpur

  v  Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website.

  It was a very interactive session. 24 drivers were present at the talk. 3 drivers signed consent form and picked their donor cards. The drivers asked the following questions:-

  • What is the benefit to MOHAN Foundation if you are taking program?
  • Where is MOHAN Foundation office in Nagpur?
