  Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN  Foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers. It was conducted in the training hall on 22 May 2018.

  Mr. Bulu Behera Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation Nagpur delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained for following points:

  v  What is Organ Donation and the Law

  v  Type of organ donation

  v  Brain Death Natural Death and Coma

  v  Who can donate

  v  Myths related to Organ donation

  v  Deceased donation case in Nagpur

  v  Kidney transplant hospital in Nagpur

  v  Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website

  It was a very interactive session. 40 drivers were present at the talk. 3 drivers signed  the consent form and took donor cards.

  The drivers asked the following questions:

  • What is the benefit to my family if I sign the  consent form?
  • What is difference between natural death and brain death?
