National Institute of Technology, Trichy invited MOHAN foundation for an organ donation awareness stall for their Physics Symposium on 24th Feb 2017.
Mr. Sriganapathy Raghav R.V. of 1st year M. Sc Physics NIT, was very interested to create awareness on organ donation for his college mates. MOHAN Foundation set an information stall just at the entrance of the conference hall. This way all students were aware of an opportunity to help others.
Mr. Siva Shankar of MOHAN Foundation, Chennai set the stall with posters, donor cards, information brochures. 35 students who attended the program took a pledge to donate organs and picked their donor cards. Siva Shankar told them about brain death and cardiac death, list of organs that can be donated and the helpline number and website for more information. Most of the queries were based on how and when organ donation takes place.
MOHAN Foundation thanks Mr. Sriganapathy Raghav for his interest towards organ donation and NIT, Trichy for supporting this social cause.
